Golden Emperor is our genetic isolation from one of the most famous magic mushroom strains - Golden Teacher. GT was first classified in the late 1980's and is loved by many psychonauts for its ability to consistently induce meaningful, insightful experiences, and intense feelings of euphoria and connectedness.

Its name has now become almost colloquial to 'magic mushrooms' and its effects are a versatile mix of spiritual connection, euphoria, profound introspection, and light visual hallucination.

It grows medium/large mushroom fruiting bodies with a golden caramel/golden brown cap sometimes speckled with yellow. Caps also often display a triangular bump (or umbo in mycological terms) in the centre. It is a moderately potent strain with high yield that often produces 3-4 flushes of medium to large mushrooms.

We have tested this variety using the the PSILO-Q Test kit, the first ever home-use quantitative psilocybin testing kit. Results show that this variety contains approximately 1.8% tryptamine content. By comparison, the average Psilocybe Cubensis mushroom contains between 0.6 and 0.8% tryptamine content.

Strain Origin: Late 1980's in Florida

Cap: 50+ mm in diameter, convex to broadly convex to plane at maturity. Reddish cinnamon brown maturing to golden brown to golden caramel. Surface dry with pronounced and persistent remnants of universal veil on cap (spots). Flesh white soon bruising bluish green.

Stem: 125+ mm in length, yellowish white. Flesh bruising bluish green where injured. Persistent membranous annulus (ring) from partial veil that becomes dusted with purple brown spores at maturity.

Gills: Attachment adnate to adnexed. Grayish coloration in young fruit bodies becoming nearly black in maturity.

Spores: Dark purplish brown, subellipsoid on 4-spored basidia
